DIY Wipes Container | Montessori Wipes Container

Hey Guys!

If you have a little one like me that's 6 months or older, then you know how much they like to empty our valuable wipes packages. My baby can empty a pack of 60 wipes in just a few minutes and it is crazy. So I had to find a middle ground where it was reusable but also educational.

So I found this DIY wipes container from @babyplayhacks on Instagram and honestly it was a hit. It is so easy to make and will keep your little one busy for a while.

You'll Need:

Felt Squares*

An Old Yogurt Container or the Like

That's it!

There are so many benefits to this activity and it can teach the child a lot more than you think. Although this activity is quite simple, your baby is working on fine motor skills and also cause and effect. By pulling out the wipes from the container they are seeing that when they pull the wipes out the container becomes empty.

You can also adjust this activity for older babies/toddlers. By making the hole in the container smaller it takes more force to pull the wipes out therefore challenging older children. You can also use fabric with different textures on it. You can talk about colors and be sure to talk to your child "look this is blue like the sky" or "Look it's red like strawberries you're favorite". You can also count the wipes in the container, the options are many.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I am looking forward to reading your comments.
